A Little Bit of Background Information

I don’t like to consider myself a rapper – it’s nearly to the point where the word has a negative connotation. I’m a lyricist. I love words and the symphony of sounds they can create. I always have. Unlike most MC’s, I went through the necessary stages of honing my craft. I’m a student. Not only of hip hop, but of poetry – of literature – of storytelling. The breadth of my knowledge influences my music more than anything else. That’s my signature. That’s what I bring to hip hop. I want to make music that moves people – music with a message – music that speaks for the muted majority – music that’s uniquely me. That’s really all I can do. Whether I get “on” or not, is beside the point. I just love the craft.
